In a futuristic existence where "trust" is captured and used as currency, and live entertainment is the only distraction after the abolishment of film and video, a reluctant anti-hero, and heir to a throne of powerful persuasion decides to shirk all responsibility he has to his father, and the district he was groomed to run as ringmaster.

Kendra's original transmedia plan was for the audience to play a video game that teaches the rules of the world before attending a live performance.

An AR experience allowed audiences to listen to the audio drama, watch the short film, and see items from Columbus Myth populate their real world.

Workshops

Kendra founded and manages 3240 Entertainment Group LLC. Along with being the production company behind Columbus Myth, 3240 Entertainment has produced workshops for young audiences who are interested in video game coding, comic book art, writing, and digital media.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, 3240 Entertainment implemented a strategy to continue workshops through public access television.

Human computer interaction & user experience

Kendra's goal is to give audiences agency to explore the concept and theme of a story through interaction. She uses her Masters of Information Science in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience to merge her skills in storytelling with the study of human-centered design.

Kendra Dobson's Statement on her Role at Shadow Health

In my role as a Narrative Designer at Elsevier for the Shadow Health product, I had the privilege of serving as the steward of numerous medical cases, each featuring unique fictional patients. My responsibilities included crafting dialogue, developing backstories, and creating patient case files. The challenge was to ensure that every aspect of these cases maintained consistency and storytelling integrity across various cross-functional departments.

The central focus in each case was the educational value it provided to our target audience: nursing students and faculty nurse educators. Our clients relied on our product to simulate the comprehensive experience of caring for patients in different healthcare departments. While I may not have had a background in healthcare, my success as a Narrative Designer underscores my adaptability in handling various dimensions of storytelling.

To achieve this, I collaborated closely with nurse educators, conducting interviews and working alongside them to deeply understand the medical narratives we were crafting. The result was the delivery of strategic scripts that facilitated interactive experiences in 2D and XR.

These high-level skills are transferable to museum exhibit writing and creative direction. The role emphasized my skills in translating verbose, field-specific, or convoluted language and jargon into plain language that is designed for a reader to understand as quickly as possible.
